camping tent southern california

Sitting under the stars, cooking out, and eating smores can just make any day seem better. If you are a novice in camping and hiking, start with day adventure trips till you feel you are comfortable and skilled enough to plan a few days in wilderness parks.

My favorite place to hike is the Rocky Mountains. If you are new to camping and have nobody to advise you on how to go about it you could spend sometime browsing through the various books and websites related to camping. When was the last time you went to sleep listening to crickets and bullfrogs, an owl hooting or the soulful cry of the loon.

To prepare for a hiking trip, sometimes I train on a bike as it uses a lot of the same muscles you use when hiking uphill. I got a very well made tent that was certified for Arctic conditions. A four-season or winter tent will stand up to strong winds, will repel all forms of precipitation and be able to withstand a heavy fall of snow.

If you get knee pains when hiking, the long term solution may be special exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles. Do a little research online, read reviews and shop around.
